
Varsity Girls Softball Triumphs Over Badger HS 5-3!
In the first round of playoffs last night, our Girls Varsity Softball Team snatched the lead late in their 5-3 victory over Badger HS on Tuesday. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the fifth when Sarah Marcheske hit a big 2-run single putting the Lasers ahead for good in the bottom of the fifth.
Naomi Sander pitched a great game striking out 14 batters and only giving up one hit. The starting pitcher also gave up only three runs over seven innings while walking two.
Kettle Moraine took the lead, 5-3, thanks to singles by Grace Doome, Casey Navarro, and Sarah Marcheske.
Casey Navarro led Kettle Moraine Varsity Lasers with three hits in three at-bats.
Briella Hack and Alesandra Hernandez each had a double, and Grace Doome, Sarah Marcheske, and Casey Navarro each drove in one run for Kettle Moraine Varsity Lasers.
The next game is the regional final this Thursday at home against Burlington starting at 4:30.

Boys Celebrate Last Weeks Victories, Eye Upcoming Challenges... and Senior Night!
Lasers went 4-1 last week, losing a tough one to Mukwonago in eight innings. The week was highlighted by a 1-0 win over Arrowhead, a two-run home run by Scott Brown, and an 11-1 victory over Burlington on Saturday night. Solid pitching continues from the Lasers pitching staff and the bats are heating up just in time for regionals which start on Tuesday, May 28.Â
Lasers finish regular season play this week against Arrowhead (4:30 today at AHS), and Waukesha North on Tuesday and Thursday. Come to WBC Park on Thursday to cheer on our 12 seniors during SENIOR NIGHT! The pre-game ceremony will start around 6:45. Game time is 7:00pm.

COLLABORATION AT KM!!! Mrs Blawat’s fifth grade class shared their Civil War cospaces.com projects/escape rooms with Mr. B. Bestor’s 10th grade Modern World History students. It was a great opportunity for younger students to share their learning and solicit feedback, while older students develop the important skill of mentoring.



BASEBALL FUN WITH CULVER'S!!! OG's, Vodenlich's, and Plasil's classes enjoyed a Brewers baseball game with tailgate food from Culver's in Wales. Thank you Culver's for being such a great supporter of KM!





CAPSTONE EVENTS TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY!!! CONTEMPORARY DANCE FUNDRAISER TONIGHT!!! The show will be held in the KMHS Auditorium on Friday, May 17th at 6 pm. Cost $12 per ticket. Ella Mathison of KM Global is using her senior capstone to combine her passion for dance with fundraiser for LifeStriders in Waukesha. Get your tickets or buy them at the door! KM Global will be hosting an artisan craft fair at Kettle Moraine High School on Saturday, May 18th from 9-12! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to our friends at the Hunger Task Force. Emilia Bullock, Anna Williamson, Jack Wagner, Jonah Roloff, Reed Burns, Ian Roman, Amelia Monyelle, Zak Sokolowski, Anna Sueflohn and Taylor Ford committed to colleges. WIAA ScholarAthletes: Alison Abhold and Miles Burchardt were awarded, along with Classic 8 Scholar Athletes: Briana Binagi, Madeline Bingenheimer, Samantha Brown, Reed Burns, Lucas Garvey, Brooke Graf, Lauren Jungen, Emelia Matthews, Brayden Sikorski, and Cole Thompson.

IMPORTANT: KMHS Campus Parking Lot Closures Beginning Sunday, June 2, 2024
A total parking lot resurfacing begins Sunday, June 2, 2024.
As a result, all students and most staff will need to park on the south side of the building. The northeast staff lot remains open. In addition, the most northern entrance, near the track, will also be closed.
Students with parking passes should be able to find adequate parking in the south lot as senior graduation occurs on Saturday, June 1st.

Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships in the Books!
Congratulations to our Varsity and JV Boys and Girls Track Team who recently competed at the Outdoor Conference Championships. Here is a recap of some of our top performers.

Keegan Lodes helped get the Lasers off to a fast start by winning the HJ 5'1 and placing 3rd in the long jump breaking her SCHOOL RECORD 17'11"
Taylor Ford was 3rd in the Pole Vault with a jump of 10'6"
Hasely Schulz was 3rd in the discus with a throw of 114'11"
On the Boys sideÂ
Noah Hait ran a season-best 11.19 in the 100m dash for 5th place.
Ryker Pignotti ran his season-best time in the 300 hurdles 40.47 for a lifetime PR. This time was good enough for 2nd place.Â
The 4x200 relay team of Noah Hait, Isaiah Crothers, Ryker Pignotti, and Nolan Roehl placed 2nd with a time of 1:29.55. This time ranks them 7th in the state currently!
The 4x800 relay team of Brady Lammert, Adam Langreder, Malachi Beyerlein, and Ryan Keller placed 3rd with a time of 8:36.49.
Dayne Baker was 3rd in discus with a toss of 148'5"Â
Our 2 Classic 8 Conference Champions were Teig Kowalski in the disc 157'11 and Grey Rumohr in the shot put 53'9"
