KM Global students Elizabeth Kolp and Emma Gauthier presented their ten-minute documentary titled "The Stolen Generation," which focused on research from their fall inquiry projects on the human rights of the aboriginal people of Australia. FRA sponsors an annual essay contest to promote the spirit of Americanism and patriotism among our country’s youth. The contest is for grades 7-12 and requires students to submit An essay through an FRA member or local FRA branch. Local winners are forwarded for competition at the regional level and regional winners compete for national prizes.

NATIONAL MERIT FINALISTS!!! Madeline Bruss (KM Global) and Bridget Duffy (KMHS) have been recognized as Finalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition. This is truly an incredible academic accomplishment! More than 1.5 million juniors nationwide entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/MNSQT) in the fall of their junior year. The 16,000 semifinalists represented less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and included the highest scoring entrants in each state. To become a finalist and to be considered for a National Merit scholarship, each student was required to present an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed by their high school, and earn college entrance test scores that confirmed the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying SAT. Winners of National Merit Scholarship awards are chosen from the Finalist group based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments. Scholarships will be awarded to approximately 7,000 finalists beginning in March, 2025.
HOST FAMILIES NEEDED!!! Several foreign exchange students need host families for the 25-26 school year at KMHS. We have a girl, Ines 16, from Argentina who loves movies, reading, travel, writing, horseback riding, cross country skiing and all things active and outdoors. According to Ines, "I consider myself an ambitious and brave person, and I believe that I can do anything that I put on my mind. Even if I struggle a lot, I know that eventually, I will achieve it. For me, both university and career goals are very important objectives in my life. At school, I have chosen biology related subjects, and have always been interested in being a biochemist or maybe a biotech." We also have a boy, Ludwig 16, who enjoys pop music, pets, reading, and sporting events. He plays basketball, soccer and tennis and loves American football. "I hope the program will make me more self-reliant, more flexible and that it will provide me with a more cosmopolitan outlook," said Ludwig. "After my year abroad, I will attend school for another 2 years to acquire a diploma which allows me to study at university. I would like to become a journalist." The students' families pay all expenses and provide their medical insurance. Our students speak English and want to learn about America. CULINARY IMMERSION GLOBAL FIELD TRIP!!! Northern Italy – March 2026! Join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 10 from 6:00-7:00 pm or Thursday, January 23 from 6:00-7:00 pm in Room 231 (KM Global Discovery Room). Interested students must attend one informational session with a parent/guardian. Students must have completed or be enrolled in Foods for Life (KMHS students) and/or Travel Seminar (KM Global students) by March 2026 if they would like to attend. Join KM High School and KM Global for an extraordinary culinary journey through the heart of Italy’s gastronomic legacy on our school trip to Parma, Modena, Bologna, and Rimini! Students will have the opportunity to visit local farms, factories, and historic food markets, to learn from artisans and chefs. The counseling team will assist these students with the next step in the competition, which is applying for the National Merit Scholarship Competition.

KM GLOBAL SPRING SHOWCASE IS TONIGHT MAY 29TH!!!! Join us for this wonderful end-of-year open-house event. Students will present their capstone projects at Kettle Moraine High School from 5:30-7:30pm. Ask questions and help to prepare these young leaders and entrepreneurs for future success.

ART AND ICE CREAM FUNDRAISER!!! Art Show & Ice Cream Social | KMHS | 5.20.24 | 5-7 pm! This KM Global Capstone event will display artwork from students all over the district. Not only will student art be displayed, but there will also be an ice cream social in the cafeteria where people can purchase Culver's custard. It is free to get in, but donations are greatly appreciated. The funds raised will be donated to Hands of Hope, an organization that works to provide education, healthcare, and clean water to people in Zambia, Africa.
