KM DECA ATTEND SCDC!!! The State Career Development Conference (SCDC) is the biggest and most exciting California DECA event of the year. Members gather for competitions, workshops, state officer campaigns, networking, and countless other opportunities. KM DECA students presented their written projects, listened to guest speakers, and took their exams! The night finished with a grand opening ceremony! Tomorrow students will compete their role plays!

KM LAX BLAST MARCH 15TH!!! Attend the 7th Annual LAX BLAST on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 6:30pm-10:30pm at Western Lakes Golf Club. The evening includes dinner, music, silent auction, raffles and cash bar. Proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls youth and high school lacrosse. Celebrating 15 years, Kettle Moraine School for Arts and Performance presents the KM Perform Alumni Recital to benefit guest artist funding in KM Perform – Friday, March 21st at 7:00pm in the Prism Arts Center at Kettle Moraine High School. BOYS BASKETBALL POST-SEASON SEED MEETING RESULTS!!! Kettle Moraine has earned the #1 seed in the WIAA 2025 Boys Basketball Tournament for D1. They will start post-season play on Friday, March 7 at 7:00 PM @KMHS, against the winner of the #17 Madison East vs #16 Watertown game, which takes place next Tuesday @Watertown.

DADDY DAUGHTER LUAU DANCE WAS SUCCESS!!! The annual Daddy Daughter Dance was a great event and raised a lot of money for Key Club. The club decked out the gym and organized, games, crafts, and photo booths to make it a really special event. This is a lovely event for young girls to celebrate with the important men in their lives!!

WIAA TO AIR BOYS BASKETBALL & STATE INDIVIDUAL WRESTLING SHOWS!!! The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association will release the 2025 Boys Basketball Tournament Series seeds and pairings and the 2025 State Individual Wrestling Tournament brackets during one-hour live programs on WIAA State Television Network stations Sunday, Feb. 23. The basketball program will be aired live at 10 a.m. on WKOW 27.2 in Madison, WAOW 9.2 in Wausau, WXOW 19.2 in La Crosse and WQOW 18.2 in Eau Claire, WCFW CW14 in Green Bay and My24 EVTV 24.1 in Milwaukee. HUGE SHOUTOUT FOR OUR BOYS FROM LAKE COUNTRY NOW! Kettle Moraine not only moves up to our No. 1 team in our latest rankings but they earn team of the week honors! Congrats, Lasers! KM entered the week as one of just four undefeated programs remaining in the state. The Lasers won their first Classic 8 title since a split with Arrowhead in the 2017-18 season. This is a senior-led team that is looking to return to the state tournament for a second straight season. UW-Eau Claire commit Roman Thompson (20.3 PPG), St. Norbert commit Zach Froemming (14.5 PPG), Ben Bestor (14.7 PPG) and Teig Kowalski (8.1 PPG) round out a dynamic top four scoring options. SKI TEAM STATE RESULTS! The Girls and Boys Ski Teams fared very well in La Crosse over the weekend. The Girls Team took 3rd overall in Division 1 against 22 teams! Top finishers (150 racers) were: Slalom – Allison Belt 7th and Monica Wawrzyn - 8th, GS – Monica Wawrzyn 12th and Allison Belt 13th, Super G – Monica Wawrzyn - 11th. This earned Monica Wawrzyn 8th place and Allison Belt 12th place overall. The Boys Team took 12th overall. Theo Johnson was a top finisher in SL with 13th place. Monica Wawrzyn and Allison Belt were named to team Wisconsin and will represent our state in the High School Nationals at Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming in March.

With an electric performance, the Lasers secured the Classic 8 Conference Championship and are currently a perfect 22-0 with only 2 regular season games left! Girls Basketball Senior Night Friday! The Girls Basketball regular season ends Friday at Home vs West, 7p. Come celebrate your 3 seniors – Keegan Lodes, Lola Bond, and Emily Gomez. The last of the State Champs are graduating! The girls playoffs start next week with a home Regional on Friday, February 28, 7p.

Peak Nordic Dominates State & Heads to Junior Nationals! Peak Nordic Skiers crushed it at the State Championships (Sprint Feb 1-2 and Distance Feb 8-9)!  Girls Team Combined State Champs! Combined Boys & Girls 2nd Overall! Boys Team 2nd Place in State Distance! Standout Performances: Krin Blegen: 1st in individual sprint, skate distance, classic distance & relay (with Syd Loehrl) Riley Grossklaus: 2nd skate distance, 3rd classic distance, 2nd in mixed relay (with Cole Mirek) Cole Mirek: 10th in individual sprint, 9th skate distance, 2nd classic distance Will Fisher: 9th classic distance (outstanding Sophomore finish) Junior Nationals Bound! At the 4th and final Junior National Qualifier in Houghton, MI: Will Fisher qualified for the Midwest Team & Canadian Nationals (7th skate finish) Chase Mirek (Freshman) had a strong race, finishing 12th in skate Krin, Riley, Syd & Cole made the Great Lakes Division Team & will race at Junior Nationals in Soldier Hollow Utah (March 6-15) where they will compete against the best Junior skiers in the Nation! KM Finnatics Reel in 21st at State! Huge Congrats to the Team & Thanks to Coach Klamik! Congratulations to our KM Finnatics who finished 21st out of 89 teams this past weekend at State with a total of 371 Inches!   It was a fight till the bitter end.  While we fell short of our goal by one Pike and five Bass; the team did finish as follows in each respective species: Bluegill: 4th out of 89 teams; 82 Inches Perch: 10th out of 89 teams; 91 Inches Crappie: 22nd out of 89 teams; 102.25 Inches Pike: 33rd out of 89 teams; 95.75 Inches We also spent the weekend celebrating a special accomplishment of Master Angler for three of our teammates!  Out of 254 Students throughout the state; Austin Weber; finished 27th with 11 fish and 288” Bradan Hegemann-Lindau; finished 38th with 7 fish and 196” Jayden Hitchcock; finished 65th with 6 fish and 119.25” An extra special thank you to our Coach Jeff Klamik who has helped lead our team to victory for more than 8 years, you will be missed! To our Seniors, you will be missed!  Your leadership has helped to build next year’s team and the memories shared will last a lifetime.
